Happy Friday Cougars!

I hope you have all had a wonderful week. We are loving learning with our new unit of study. This one is a Social Studies unit “Past, Present, and Future. What is different about today?”  This is also a great connection to holidays at this time of year.

Next week we do not have school on Monday for a teacher work day. Friday the 17th is our last day before Thanksgiving break.

PTA Survey:

We need your help in completing the National PTA School of Excellence Survey. This survey allows us to grow partnerships between PTAs and schools to enrich the educational experience and overall well-being of all students. As part of the process outlined by National PTA, we are requesting feedback from families, administrators and teachers at two points in the school year—the beginning and the end. Using the community's feedback, we will build an Excellence Action Plan to strengthen family-school partnerships.

Please fill out the survey by Tuesday at 5pm. Here's the survey in Spanish if you'd prefer.

PTA committees:

Here is the sign up genius to sign up for PTA committees: https://tinyurl.com/4v8mes3t

Please sign up by the next PTA meeting on 11/27 because we will be breaking up into groups to plan the Winter Event and the December Teacher Appreciation gift and/or meal. You can be in multiple committees or no committees, absolutely your choice.

How sick is too sick?

We hope everyone is doing well and staying healthy! We have officially moved into cold and flu season and the CDPHE (Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment) has revised the “How sick is too sick” document. We will attach this document to help guide you on whether to send your child to school. One of the changes for this season is students with Covid 19 Symptoms should test or stay home and isolate if families do not wish to test.

If your child is not feeling well and/or is showing symptoms of illness, regardless of a negative covid test, we ask that you please keep them home.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation in ensuring our students stay healthy and safe.
